I wasn't sure how Valentines Day would pan out this year with Tavian is in the picture, but thankfully Cole and I were able to have some wonderful alone time to celebrate. Cole's mom was nice enough to watch Tavian all day on Sunday so that Cole and I (for the third year in a row) could go to Denver to meet up with friends and eat Cinzettis. Yum!! Valentines Day is the one time a year that we eat at Cinzettis, and it is such a fun tradition to keep. We dropped Tavian off in Longmont in the morning, met up with friends to see the movie Just Go With It, and then spent 3 hours at Cinzettis eating and talking. (yeah, i'm pretty sure they were ready for us to leave already). We went with Shannon and her husband Austin, and Breanne and her boyfriend Mike. Such a fun time with friends that I don't' get to see a lot. Of course we forgot to get the camera until after Mike and Breanne had already left...such a bummer. We were already outside the restaurant about to leave when I had Cole run to the car so we could grab a quick picture!
*When we were entering Longmont it was really windy and Cole and I watched this tree blow over right in front of our face. If it had blown a different direction it would have blown right on our car! We couldn't believe what we were seeing! (we didn't get the picture until later that night so it is kind of hard to see)
*I didn't do much in terms of V-day, but I did make a few "Jars of Love" to give to Cole's mom and a few others. I thought they turned out pretty cute. I would have liked to have done more but I only had a few jars!!
Cole and I also spent a lot of special time together throughout the weekend. He bought me my fav. ice cream and a bottle of wine, and we exchanged cards. He is such a wonderful hubby!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!! :)
Oh my word, that is scary about the tree!! We were in Longmont on Sunday too and our car was rocking like crazy because of the wind.
ReplyDeleteI love your Valentine jars idea, I need to get some cute traditions for Jeremy and I. We don't really do anything except dinner now. Looks like you guys had fun!
I'm really glad you two got some grown-up time:)
