Happy Sunday!
May is always an emotional month with the combination of Mother's Day and the anniversary of my mom's death. We had a wonderful Mother's Day a few weeks ago, but the weekend weather here has been ridiculous with lots of rain, so we held off until this weekend to visit the cemetery. It is neat as the kiddos get older that they are getting more aware of the significance of being there and they also really enjoy it!
Friday was the 26th anniversary of her death. I can hardly believe it. Some years are harder then others. It is always sad and I am always aware of what a loss we have all felt from her death, but this year it wasn't quite as bad. I'm not sure why that is but I'll take it :) I remember last year being much more sad, swallowed by the grief of it all. This year I was able to focus more on the good and the blessings in my life and celebrating that I had the most amazing, loving mom, even if I was only able to be with her for a short time.

I spent the weekend reading old letters, looking at old pictures, and watching old videos. I really enjoy diving into the life that she had. We were able to make it to the cemetery on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we went with my sister and her family and my dad. It was so relaxing and nice. I love getting to share these memories with them each year! (Unfortunately no pics!) Then today after church we were able to stop by again. I wanted to be sure and get some pictures this time! It was another great day!

Later in the afternoon we met my dad at the driving range by his house. We bought Tavian some little golf clubs at a garage sale for a few bucks last week and we knew he would have fun trying to learn with Bapa. We also wanted to spend time with my Dad because it was his birthday last weekend and we weren't able to celebrate yet. We ended the day with a nice dinner on my Dad's patio. It was a wonderful day, and really a wonderful weekend spending time with family.
Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday as well!
