October is Respect Life month. A month to remember all the unborn whose lives have been taken by the Silent Holocaust. I consider myself a pro-life advocate. I first protested outside abortion clinics when I was a little girl, holding signs, praying, and in my mother's arms. I have never known anyone who fought for life as passionately and lovingly as my mother. I hope to always continue and fight for the rights of those who have no voice.
At UNC the students have started participting in something they call BEARfoot for Babies which takes place during one week of Respect Life month. This year it is Oct3-Oct9. The students go the entire week without shoes or socks as a form of silent, peaceful protest. They also fill the week with prayer, mass, and amazing speakers. I have the priveledge of seeing Lila Rose speak tomorrow at UNC...but more about that tomorrow.
For more information about BEARfoot for Babies take a look at their video:
Hopefully you all can find a way to participate this month!
