Man, I have actually had a lot to write in regards to this pregnancy, but since we weren't making it public in the first trimester I have had to hold off. I will try and make up for it now :)
Cole and I knew there was a chance we were pregnant. As it usually goes with NFP, you know your cycle well and you know when having sex will most likely or most likely not lead to a baby. We were actually thinking it would be nice to wait until after the summer to get pregnant (a thought we apparently have a lot) but like usual God has better timing :)
We laugh because this is always the exact time I get pregnant. Just when I am close to having a summer without being pregnant or breastfeeding...bam! Preggers! I can't say I would change a thing, we just have a good chuckle about it. Maybe God has a chuckle too!
Even though we knew there was a good possibility, every time the pregnancy test says positive it is a bit of a thrill (to say the least). I had taken the test one early morning a few days before Mother's Day. Cole had already left and randomly had taken the kids to his moms that day so I could relax a bit. Let me tell you, once I saw the positive result, I can't say a whole lot of relaxing happened!!! I called Andrea (typical) just in shock saying "I can't believe it...I cant't believe it" over and over. Although, as I already said, I COULD believe it! I waited to tell Cole until that night because I wanted it to be in person. I was actually really emotional all day and I think it was because I hadn't shared the news with him. The second I told him a huge rush of peace came over me and the anxiety left...that was a big blessing!
I also have to say that I have felt this baby was a boy from the very start. Tavian thinks so too, and seeing as he was right with Felicity, I think he is trustworthy. I truly don't have a preference either way but something just makes me feel like it is a boy. We will be finding out in September when we have a gender reveal party. Fun!
I also have to say that Cole has truly been a blessing this pregnancy. Third time must be a charm! He really has learned a lot since my pregnancy with Tavian and it has made things go really smoothly. That isn't to say he wasn't great with Tavian...it just seems to get better and better. Immediately after I told him he grabbed a pen and paper and made a list of all the things we were going to do to make this a great pregnancy. One of the things included a babysitter once a week! It was so thoughtful of him to make that list and really assured me that he was on my team and there to help in any way. So blessed to have him :)
Already so excited for the gender reveal!! :) I love you and can't wait to meet your sweet wee babe!!
