Happy Mother's Day!
Could you imagine a better way to start the day? So in love with this snuggle bug and it was such a special morning.
I actually didn't get a great full length picture of my outfit today. Sorry...but don't worry, you aren't missing much. It is snowing again. Seriously? Yes, seriously! Snow and Mother's Day just don't mix and the cold weather doesn't really lend to cute outfits. Know what I'm saying?!
Anyway, I have had a wonderful day. Cole and the kids made me a very sweet Mother's Day card. We also decided to go to Longmont early this morning and meet Cole's mom and step-dad at the 8am mass. It made for an early morning for us, but it was a treat getting to spend the morning with them.
And guess what else my kids got me on this fabulous Mother's Day? They behaved wonderfully at Mass. Cole and I were shocked...super proud and happy...but shocked! Beckett pooped again, of course, because there is just something about being in church that makes him poop. It happens every.single.Sunday! (And every time I am at adoration too!)
After Mass we all headed to Panera (of course!). It was actually a wonderful place to go because it wasn't too busy and we had a nice, relaxing time.
There is a huge American Furniture Warehouse in Longmont so we stopped there on the way home to look around. I have been wanting a swing/rocking chairs for the porch and they had some nice ones. We didn't buy anything yet because we wanted to take some measurements first. The kids had a blast running around and trying out all the different furniture.
And I even got a massage for Mother's Day ;)
This is always a hard day for me. Every year I think it won't be so bad...after all it is just another day...and every year the sting of not having my mom hurts more then I expect. I have more reflections about this that I hope to share later this week.
In the meantime, I hope all of you had an amazing Mother's Day! I know that looking at my three blessings helps me realize just how lucky I truly am!
